Title: Transmode’s sales and profit gains continue

Transmode, a leading provider of Optical Networking Solutions, continued to post high sales growth and increased profits in 2007. Healthy demand and a series of new customers in markets like Germany, France and Eastern Europe boosted growth.

Transmode’s order intake for the full year 2007 improved sharply, amounting to SEK 470 m. It can be compared to SEK 353 m in 2006, and is a 33% increase.

Sales grew by 21%, from SEK 378 m in 2006 to SEK 459 m in 2007. In the fourth quarter, sales were SEK 147 m, an increase of 71% from SEK 86 m for the corresponding period of
the previous year.

The sales gains are due to sustained brisk progress on established markets like the Nordic region and Germany in combination with the company also expanding on new markets last year, including France and Eastern Europe.

“The telecom sector consists of several segments, where metro WDM is one of the fastest growing. Thanks to our focus on this segment, we’ve succeeded in growing on existing and new markets. We take a positive view of 2008, and are continuing our expansion in sales and product development,” commented Transmode’s CEO Karl Thedéen.

EBITDA for 2007 was SEK 32.2 m, excluding non-recurring expenses of SEK 2.6 m, which is a big increase on the SEK 1.5 m posted for 2006.
