Title: Transmode strengthen its Board of Directors with Eva Lindqvist  


Transmode, a leading provider of Multi-Reach Optical Networking Solutions, today announced that Eva Lindqvist, most recently President TeliaSonera International Carrier, has joined the company's Board of Directors

"I am delighted to welcome such a strong industry veteran as Eva to the Transmode Board," said Rune Hurtig, Chairman and acting CEO. "Eva brings many years of senior management experience and a global network of industry contacts."

Eva Lindqvist joins the Transmode Board of Directors as an independent board member and brings over 25 years of senior management experience from TeliaSonera and Ericsson. In her most recent role, Ms Lindqvist was President of TeliaSonera International Carrier from 2002 to 2006, where she was responsible for all international carrier activities within the TeliaSonera Group. Prior to this role, Ms Lindqvist held other senior management positions within TeliaSonera. Before joining TeliaSonera in 2000, Ms Lindqvist was employed by the Ericsson Group for 18 years where she held leading positions in Japan, Australia and the US.

Ms Lindqvist holds a Master of Science from Linköping Institute of Technology, Sweden, and a Master of Business Administration from Melbourne University, Australia.

Eva Lindqvist joins the existing Transmode board members; Rune Hurtig (Chairman), Mats Dahlin (Independent), Simon Cornwell (Amadeus Capital Partners), Tom Nyman (Pod Holding), Alex Rogers (HarbourVest), Magnus Öberg (Founder) and Shamil Chandaria (Investor).

In a further announcement today, Transmode announced a growth acceleration funding round of $12 Million.
