Title: EEP Announces the Sale of Whatsonwhen


European Equity Partners (EEP) announced today that one of its portfolio companies, Whatsonwhen Ltd (www.whatsonwhen.com), has been acquired by John Wiley & Sons Ltd., the European subsidiary company of global publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (NYSE:JWa) (NYSE:JWb) (www.wiley.com ).

Whatsonwhen Ltd. is a leading provider of travel-related online content, technology, and services based in the U.K..  "We see great opportunities for growth as part of Wiley," said Robert Flynn, CEO of Whatsonwhen. "Its formidable sales and marketing presence and its market-leading travel information brands will bring Whatsonwhen's content and capabilities to new customers in markets in the U.S. and around the world."

"The acquisition of Whatsonwhen will significantly enhance Wiley's extensive travel-related content business, which includes the integrated online and print Frommer’s, For Dummies, and Unofficial Guides brands," said Stephen A. Kippur, Wiley's Executive Vice President and President, Professional/Trade Publishing.
