Title: CMC Biopharmaceuticals A/S and Syngenta Biopharma enter into umbrella
agreement
CMC Biopharmaceuticals A/S (CMC), a Copenhagen-based contract manufacturing
organization, announced today that they have entered into an umbrella
agreement with Syngenta Biopharma, a business unit of the Swissbased agribusiness
Syngenta, for the development and cGMP manufacture of a number of Syngenta's
biopharmaceutical products. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Mads Laustsen, CEO of CMC, stated: "This agreement demonstrates the
flexibility of CMC's multi-product facility providing services from early
development to commercial cGMP compliant manufacture. CMC is manufacturing
cGMP material for several companies and Syngenta's project pipeline fits
well into our project portfolio."
Commenting on the agreement, Antony Blanc, Head of Syngenta Biopharma,
said: "In CMC we have found a dynamic and experienced partner with
whom to collaborate closely in process development and the manufacture
of our most advanced microbially produced therapeutics for clinical studies."
