Title: Transmode Systems AB announces 300% sales increase in 2003
Transmode
Systems AB, a leading supplier of transmission equipment for fibre optic
networks, announced today its 2003 results. Key figures include a revenue
growth of close to 300% on 2002 and addition of 30 new customers.
System 1100, a proven low-cost transmission platform for metropolitan
and access networks, opened up the carrier's market. This product line
was enhanced to increase reach, capacity and the associated management
system.
Transmode continues to address the enterprise market through a very successful
Value Added Reseller (VAR) program. Transmode signed reseller agreements
with 10 new VARs during 2003.
Isaac Olasoko, CEO of Transmode, states: "With up to 106% quarter-on-quarter
top line growth in a flat market, Transmode has established itself as
a major player in the market. Our business model is very competitive and
proven and we plan to build on this solid foundation".
Transmode is today number 3 in Europe in the CWDM market. CWDM (Coarse
Wavelength Division Multiplexing) is a technology developed specifically
with the diverse transmission requirements of the metro access networks
in mind. In this area, customers are looking for cost-efficiency and platform
flexibility and they have found Transmode's System 1100 to be one of the
best solutions on the market.
The latest round of financing was closed in October 2003, in which Pod
Holding was introduced as a new major investor. The other main investors
in the company are Amadeus Capital Partners and European Equity Partners.
