Title: Transmode appoints new COO and strengthens its management team

Transmode Systems AB, a leading supplier of transmission equipment for fibre optic networks, announced today that it has appointed Beth Topolovsky as Chief Operating Officer and strengthened its management team.

Transmode has performed exceptionally well and has now achieved six consecutive quarters of strong double-digit sales growth, and reported a close-to-300% year-on-year revenue increase at the close of 2003. 2003 sales were made up of a good mix of repeat purchases from customers won in 2002 and the 30 new customers won during the year. The Company has strengthened the management team to improve customer services and operational capability.

Beth Topolovsky has been appointed as Transmode's Chief Operating Officer. Beth was most recently CEO of Q2 Labs AB. Prior to that, Beth held senior management positions within Cisco Systems for Engineering and Operations, and was responsible for site management of Cisco's acquired business unit Qeyton in Stockholm, Sweden.
