Transmode
Systems AB recruits Vice President of Marketing from Nortel Networks
Transmode Systems AB, a leading Swedish supplier of transmission
equipment for fibre optic networks, has strengthened its team even further
by appointing Michael Crossey as Vice President of Marketing. Michael
Crossey joins Transmode from Nortel Networks where he held a series of
senior management positions in Product Marketing, Market Development and
Operations.
Transmode Systems has developed a very cost efficient fibre optic transmission
system for metro networks, based on Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing
(CWDM). The product has been very successful for Transmode and the company
has today customers in Europe, the US and Asia. The addition of Michael
Crossey as Vice President of Marketing will allow Transmode to build on
its initial success and increase the visibility of Transmode in the marketplace.
Most recently, Michael held the position of Director of Market Development,
Nordics and Benelux, for Nortel Networks' Optical business in the region.
In this role he was responsible for business development and technical
sales for Nortel's Metro and Long Haul DWDM portfolio. Prior to this he
was responsible for Product Marketing and Product Management for Nortel's
Metro Optical and Access solutions in EMEA. In his role as Vice President
of Marketing at Transmode Systems, Michael will be responsible for Product
Management, Strategic Marketing and Marketing Communications.
