Transmode appoints Chief Executive Officer

Transmode Systems AB of Sweden, a major new player in the optical transmission network market, has strengthened its management team by appointing Isaac Olasoko as Chief Executive Officer. Previously, Isaac Olasoko was Vice President, Business Development & Marketing within Alcatel Europe.

Transmode has developed a range of very competitive WDM based products for metro access networks and it is a pioneer of CWDM technology. "The market for our products is still growing, customers are turning to Transmode for their metro solutions and we now have a strong management team to execute", says Rune Hurtig, Transmode's Chairman.

Isaac Olasoko previously held an array of upper management positions within Alcatel Europe. Most recently he was Vice President, Business Development & Marketing and was also a member of Alcatel Global Marketing Board and 3G Steering Board.

"Transmode is the industry's best kept secret. In an environment where carriers are very selective about what they buy, you have to offer them a solution that either reduces operating costs or generate new revenue streams. This is what Transmode has developed, and I am delighted to join this team", says Isaac Olasoko.

Transmode Systems AB is a CWDM pioneer, with expertise in datacom and telecom networking, optical technologies and network management systems. Since 2000, Transmode has focused on CWDM as a key optical technology to fully exploit existing networking protocols. Transmode has been shipping CWDM systems since March 2001, introducing OADM in August 2001 and launching the first True Logical Ring products in November 2001
