Title: PacketFront Gets Funding

STOCKHOLM -- PacketFront Sweden AB, a start-up company in Stockholm, Sweden, developing a purpose-built totally integrated solution for the evolving metro-access Ethernet Broadband Networks ("EBNs"), announced today that it has received series A financing from London-based venture capital firm European Equity Partners (EEP).

The EBN market is in an early evolutionary stage but is foreseen to grow rapidly in the next five years. There are an increasing number of Fiber To The Home (FTTH) projects around the world and no products available that has been designed specifically for this market. "Ethernet broadband operators have been forced to use Enterprise LAN switches from the traditional LAN vendors and have had great problems because the special requirements of using Ethernet in a residential operator environment were not addressed when these products were designed", says Martin Thunman, CEO of PacketFront. "PacketFront will be first on the market with a total solution that addresses all the challenges of EBNs including full multi-operator support. As a result, we have already generated significant interest from potential customers."
