On October 9 2000, European Equity Partners announced a new investment fund. The 53 million euro fund is targeted at companies in France, Germany and Northern Europe (particularly Scandinavia) which are seeking their first round of external funding. The fund will target broadband-related technologies, fibre optic components as well as Internet and wireless. Typical investments will range from 1 million to 5 million euros. Investors of the fund include Swiss Partners Group and Ofivalmo. The manager of the fund is European Equity Partners, which has offices in London, Paris and representatives in Stockholm. EEP provides hands-on management support to enable entrepreneurial companies to expand their international activity. So far EEP has only 1 fund under management. EEP has made 12 investments including Gatespace, Prenax, Webforia and whatsonwhen.com.
